The next scheduled meeting of the Town of Stark Water District #1 will be held Tuesday October 20, 2026, at the Town of Stark Courthouse building in Starkville. Meetings are normally scheduled every other month on the third Tuesday of the month unless otherwise changed due to scheduling conflicts. Please check here for the date of the next scheduled meeting. Meetings begin at 6:00 PM.
The Van Hornesville Water District # 1 wants to advise that due to dry summer and resulting lack of rain, we just want to remind everyone to recognize the situation and be aware that if the situation continues for the rest of the summer, there could be a problem come fall. As of right now, the wells are in good condition. Thank you for your cooperation. Because of a situational problem with Well # 2 of our 3-well system, the Department of Health (DOH) has advised the water district to issue a Water Conservation Order for the Town of Stark Water District # 1. The Order will remain in effect until further notice.
